Another outstanding week of performances for Eden Prairie natives. This weeks top performances all come from the class of 2018. The selections are Ben Shepard, Noah Matousek, and Ryan Wrobleski.
Shepard directed a 14-7 win from the mound over DII- Findlay University on March 5th. His performance was a 5.0 inning effort that included 5 strikeouts. Matousek made is collegiate debut on March 3rd. In his first career at-bat against the #3 Louisville Cardinals, he delivered a pinch hit single off one of the top relievers in college baseball. Heck of a way to start a career.
Wrobleski had quite a week at the plate. He was 6 for 15 (.400), with 3 doubles, 1 home run (vs #15 Oklahoma), and 3 RBI. Listed as a catcher on the Patriots roster, Wrobleski's bat has helped earned more time in the line-up, having played significant time in right field as well. His season doubles total of 7 has earned a national rank of #144 in the category of "Doubles per Game Average" at .40. Wrobleski was a 3 year letterman at Eden Prairie, and part of the 2017 State Championship team.
